Universal Base

Universal baseM. R. Mold & Engineering offers its universal base as a cost-effective alternative for prototype and production molds. Our universal base is 10” x 10” and can accommodate 10" x 10", 8"x 8" and 6" x 6" cavity plates. Made from RoyAlloy stainless steel, this base comes complete with a heater box and connector, insulation and mounting plates.

Our universal base can easily be tied into the molding machine knockouts through the holes in the ejector half. Its interchangeable cavity plates can be used for multiple projects, resulting in significant cost reductions.  

When prototyping to prove out production is needed, it's essential that the prototype be built exactly as the production mold will be built. Universal base is another perfect solution!
